Meet Nicodemus, the Charmed Cat
Nicodemus is the official mascot of Charmed in Company—and quite possibly the most opinionated member of the staff.
At 16 years old, Nicodemus is a sleek black cat with striking light green-gold eyes and a personality all his own. He has been part of Charmed in Company for nearly his entire life, and these days he is as much a part of the shop as the crystals, books, candles, and other treasures that surround him.
From a Feral Beginning
Nicodemus came to Charmed in Company when he was just seven weeks old. Both of his parents were feral, but this little black kitten somehow found his way into Victoria's life—and he has been part of the Charmed in Company family ever since.
Every morning, Nicodemus comes to work with Victoria. He has his favorite places around the shop, enjoys watching what is going on, and occasionally decides that a customer needs his attention.
And if there are treats involved?
He definitely knows who to ask.
Nicodemus Has Opinions
Nicodemus has never been shy about letting people know what he likes.
He has been known to move and rearrange gems and crystals, sometimes positioning them so he can touch them, sit beside them, or simply stretch out on top of them. On warm sunny days, he can often be found sprawled across a counter, soaking up the sunshine. At other times, he may be tucked beneath the counter or perched up high where he can keep an eye on the shop. Whether he is supervising the store, rearranging crystals, greeting customers, or simply taking a well-earned nap, Nicodemus seems to have his own ideas about how things should be done. And every now and then, he gives a particular product his very own paw of approval.
He Chose His Own Name
There is also a story behind his name. When Nicodemus was a kitten, Victoria cleared her mind, held him, and asked him what he wanted to be called.
The first name that came through was Myrrh.
Victoria looked at him—and his expression seemed to say that wasn't quite right.
So she cleared her mind and asked again.
This time, the answer came through clearly:
Nicodemus.
When Victoria later researched the name, she discovered an interesting connection between the biblical Nicodemus and myrrh. That little coincidence made his chosen name seem even more meaningful. The name Nicodemus is traditionally interpreted as “Victory for the people.”
So Where Did “Professor” Come From?
His name is simply Nicodemus. But over the years, his quiet observation, patience, curiosity, and uncanny ability to appear whenever something interesting is happening earned him another title: Professor Nicodemus.
That name belongs to a very particular part of his world—the Professor Nicodemus Paranormal Archive, where he takes on the role of our curious investigator and guide through mysteries, strange occurrences, unusual stories, and unexplained questions.
Outside the Archive, however, he's simply Nicodemus—the Charmed Cat.
Welcome to His World
Nicodemus has spent 16 years watching the world from his own unique perspective.
He's the shop cat.
The crystal rearranger.
The occasional treat inspector.
The sunbeam enthusiast.
The quiet supervisor.
And, of course, the official mascot of Charmed in Company.
We're glad you're here. Come explore Nicodemus' world and see what adventures await
