Shine a light through it and see the depth of color. These are natural, so there will be a range in appearance and color. Some contain more yellow, others more orange, some green, or red. The piece you receive will be unique. Price is per gem. Since amber is the sap from an ancient tree there is the potential of it containing a bug or bug fragment or pieces of bark. We haven't seen any bugs in them but we do not examine each piece with close scrutiny, so you may find one.
