By Victoria Chasmar of charmedincompany.com Birds have always been associated with messages. If we are aware of their presence, there is a wealth of information that can be learned through them. From the biblical dove who brought the olive branch to foretell the ending of the great flood, to the sound of a crow marking a fated omen, winged animals have been messengers throughout time. It is common to see something and brush the thought or message away, saying it was “odd” or “funny” but not relevant. To decipher which bird is a messenger look for the one that is out of ordinary either in the place you see it or its action. Below I have listed common winged messengers. WINGED MESSENGERS: HAWK- The hawk's cry is a warning to open our eyes and be more aware of the events that are going on around you. A broader vision is called for. Look at all sides of your current situation. He signals the coming of opportunity, if you are aware enough, to notice and take advantage of it. The hawk is also symbolic of visionary powers so pay attention to those dreams! Work with a prehnite and tektite gems to enhance your dream recall. ROBIN- The robin not only signals the coming of spring but also new beginnings. If the robin is now making itself known, new beginnings are on its way, a period of growth. If things have been at a standstill it will soon be changing. Robins can also be a sign of new love or renewal of love. Offer your robin messenger a gift a string or cord for his/her nest by tying it loosely to a tree branch. CARDINAL- If the cardinal has entered your life it is a sign that now is the time to revitalize. Clear away the dull and old, bring in the bright and new. Action is called for, this is a a time to assert yourself. The whistle is a reminder to get in touch with your true self and show the world who you truly are. Wear the color red and carry a ruby to resonate with these messages SEAGULL- Communication is the key to the seagull. The cry of the seagull is one signaling that attention is needed in the way we interact with others. It may signal a need for refinement in the art of communication, manners, or other forms of conduct with others; or you may be instrumental in aiding others in these areas. The gem dumotirite will be helpful at this time. GOOSE- The goose is a messenger to stimulate your creativity through the use of the written word. Stories, tales, creative writing is stimulated & enhanced under their energy. The goose also relates to lasting relationships. A howlite or chalcopyrite gem will strengthen your creativity. DUCK- Ducks are the predictors of changes in the atmosphere surrounding a person. They are symbolic of love, beauty, happiness, and fidelity. Your intuition may also be sharpened during this time and the gem rutilated quartz will enhance this energy. Many of us are socially distancing due to the coronavirus, but that doesn't mean you cannot enjoy the beauty and messages of the Spring season. As you go out and enjoy the day, be sure to open your awareness to the winged messenger around you. Its always nice to get a heads up from nature on future happenings and the best way to direct your energy. Have a Happy Spring and don't let the Virus get you down. Stay Healthy & Have a Charmed Day!
