Summer Solstice: Create a Medicine Bag

     The Sun is Life giving and abundance. The summer solstice is the perfect time for a small ritual for enhancing and charging. Here are a few ideas on how to work with the energy when the sun is at its brightest and longest and highest position in the sky for the year.
The Sun is associated with Vitality, Health, Happiness, Success, and Action. The Summer solstice allows one to capture this amazing energy so it can be utilized either on that day or at different points throughout the year. Some gems are particularly good to energize under the Sun. When charging your gems leave them in the strongest part of the day for 15 - 30 minutes. You can then incorporate them into a personal ritual using scents, candles, herbs, etc. 
     CREATE A MEDICINE BAG DURING THE SOLSTICE
Think of an area you wish to have as your main focus for example: Success, Health & Vitality,
Happiness/Anti-depressant, Action/Courage. Select the charged gems that have the properties you are looking for (ex. sunstone happiness , health or protection). Add a personal blend of herbs from the Charmed blending bar for your intent. You may also wish to empower your bag with the symbol for the sun on one side of a piece of parchment and your intent on the opposite side. Place all ingredients in front of candles that represent your intent. Candles should be scented with the corresponding oil. Let charge in the energy of the candles and oil. Then add the items to your bag as you focus on each. You may recite a chant or personal affirmation as you combine the energies into your bag. Wear or carry bag to aid you in following your path.
